Welcome to our Restaurant, Bar and shop at 1066 at The Chequers, we hope you will enjoy your time with us.
Smorrebrod is not just a meal, more a way of life for the Danish people. Those tall handsome Danes hunted and fished the very best produce from land and sea, which was lovingly prepared, piled onto freshly baked bread and topped with a colorful variety of vegetable and salad items. This would be accompanied by a shot of warming Aquavit which had to cross the equator before it was deemed suitable for the feast.
